Artist Booking
Talent Acquisition - We are not a typical booking agency. We do not believe in the "Buy Sell" contract. We work with venues, concert promoters, corporations, casinos and festivals to acquire top name talent, acting as YOUR agent to negotiate the best rate for you directly, with the artist or their management. We don't mark up the talent and we only charge a 2% to 9% fee to act as YOUR agent.
In addition to the artists we represent, and through our association with all major agencies, we can provide virtually ANY major name for your venue. Since 1965, we have commanded the respect of the entertainment community, and has the purchasing power to negotiate the best price for your event.
Unlike resellers and promoters who mark up the artist or band cost to the client with no specific formula, with us you know what you are paying. Generally, when you have a list of artists you are considering and you Google the names, you are going to come up with many sites representing sub agents and promoters. If an artist is going for $20,000 they may quote you from $25,000 to $30,000 for that act. First, this is not a good value for the client and we do not believe in the reseller making more NET then the artist.
When choosing us to acquire your talent, we negotiate on your behalf for the lowest possible price without any kind of hidden markup. The contract is between you and the artist directly. On average, we save our clients 30% annually on their entertainment costs through our event management retainer agreement.
Las Vegas Talent Booking - If you have a corporate event taking place in Las Vegas and require entertainment ranging from a headliner for a large corporate event to look-a-likes for a morning motivational session, we are your one source to make it happen. One of our partners was a long time Vegas Entertainer and has the contact base to meet any entertainment need you have.
Riders - If you don’t already know this, artists have riders. Riders contain all the extras required by the artist in addition to their performance fee. This will generally include staging, lighting and sound requirements. Travel, lodging, food and hospitality. There may also be accounting requirements, comp tickets, and revenue sharing requirements based upon the profit over your break even point. Our experience in negotiating riders and our knowledge of the actual costs will allow us to work with your budgetary needs.
Artists performance fees can range from Thousands to millions of dollars. Specific fees can vary. If the proposed date and location of your event coincides with an existing tour, the cost will be less. Secondly, if the artist is in the region and has their tour trucks, they may have their own staging, sound and lighting which would reduce your backline expenses. All of the major agencies and managers keep us appraised of routing on a regular basis.
The bottom line in securing an artist, especially the larger names, requires knowledge and expertise and knowing you can bring in the deal with a profit. American Entertainment will work on your behalf to acquire the artist within your budget.
